Fire Dog Designs is a small family business located in the hills of Mendocino County, California. We are: Husband, Wife, and son Quincy make 3, Community Minded, Earth Loving, Fire Spinning, Burning Man Participating, Crafty, Traveling Freaks. We forged this business to help us live our dream of connecting with fellow artisans and earth loving community while maintaining creative control over our reality. We manifested our vision by purchasing 80 raw acres and building a beautiful homestead off-the-grid; a place of peace to share with all. We currently work out of our yurt and love the freedom.

Fire Dog Designs specializes in hand-crafted leather wares and a growing line of professional fire arts equipment. Our goal is to provide our community with the highest quality, most stylish fashions and accessories we can create. Since we love to travel the earth, we have also added to our collection an assortment of curious goods from our Asian journeys with a focus on natural mediums. David Hawley is the creative force behind Fire Dog Designs. He is a self-taught leather craftsman and a Fire Spinning Wizard. David has been dancing with fire since 1995. He first started with staff and then discovered the magic of poi in 2000. His style is one that is very rich from his unique use of "toss and catch" tricks; some describe his technique as controlled chaos. His first love was devil sticks in 1990; since then he has delighted crowds from Thailand to Tennessee.

Jennifer Hawley is an experienced wildlife biologist and aspiring artist. She has worked with all kinds of critters (spotted owl, northern goshawk, red tree vole, red wolf, and green-rumped parrotlet) and strives to express the beauty witnessed in the natural world in her designs. Jennifer brings a feminine, earth goddess twist to the Fire Dog Designs art collection with an excitement for fire performance and costume accessories.
